These protein packed truffles are slightly modified from an Oh She Glows recipe.  They make the perfect dessert or mid-afternoon snack, and I often bring them to work and put them in the freezer at the beginning of the week. They are also nut free!

Ingredients
  • 10 medjool dates
  • 1/4 cup hemp protein powder
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine grain sea salt
Method

Add dates to food processor and process until a chunky paste forms.

Add in the hemp powder, chia seeds, tahini, sesame seeds, cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Process until thoroughly combined.

The dough should be sticky enough to shape into balls.  If it’s not, you can add a bit more tahini and a little bit of water until it comes together.  when pressed between your fingers.

Use a teaspoon to scope out the dough, and shape into small balls with your hands.  Place in the freezer.

Enjoy once frozen!
