Yes, we’re making smoothie bowls with lavender! The same calming scent that helps you drift off to bed at night. Lavender is known to be incredibly soothing – a potent aromatherapy tool – and works it’s magic on your insides too. It can help calm down anxiety, nervousness, depression and even relax your digestive system and ease nausea. The addition of ginger to this berry bowl boosts your immunity and helps warm you up as we slip into cooler fall weather. Add a pinch of lavender to smoothie bowls, oatmeals and teas all winter long for the greatest benefits.

Ingredients
Serves 1
  • 1/2 cup organic wild blueberries, frozen
  • 1/2 – 1″ ginger, roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp – 1 tablespoon coconut butter
  • 1 scoop of hemp protein 
  • Pinch of culinary English lavender
  • Dash of turmeric
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 banana, frozen

Boost with any of the following: 1 tsp maca, 1 tsp lucuma, 1 tsp bee pollen, scoop of ashwagandha.  

Top with: berries, chia seeds, coconut flakes and an additional pinch of lavender. 

Method

Blend berries, ginger, coconut butter, hemp protein, lavender and almond milk together until smooth. Add the frozen banana and blend again until you achieve an ice cream consistency.
